Scentframe is a fragrance development studio in Berlin. We create perfumes, room fragrances and signature scents for cosmetics, with strong roots in nature.
A scent is the first thing you remember and the last thing you forget. We translate a brand, a specific place or values into a tangible reality.
Natural olfactory worlds are our strength.
Natural fine fragrance is built on traditional plant-based materials: essential oils, resins and absolutes from flowers such as jasmine and rose. It is complemented by a wide range of natural molecules from bioreactors, identical to molecules isolated from plants. Because these variants cost less, natural creations become possible.
Fine fragrance in the traditional sense is a composition that also uses molecules from the synthetic spectrum. This has advantages: animal ingredients can be avoided entirely. Some of these molecules are also readily biodegradable and come from reliable, economical sources. We combine them where a perfume needs the intensity expected today.

In the beauty industry since 1995, co-founder of RAER Scents and creator of award-winning accords. Confident with both natural raw materials and molecules.
Oil-based. The scent stays closer to the skin and feels more intimate.
We develop perfume oils, roll-ons and solid perfume balms based on plant oils and waxes. We match fragrance and carrier so the scent unfolds slowly on the skin, stays stable and feels pleasant.
We work at the interface with cosmetics. And we continue an old tradition: scented balms were already used in antiquity.
Room fragrance with soul, for homes, hotels, shops and studios.
We develop room fragrances, scented candles and signature scents for spaces. We get to know your place, its size, its light and its people, and compose a scent that fits. We adapt the formula to the product, whether room spray, diffuser or candle, so the scent performs evenly and pleasantly.
A room fragrance shapes how people remember a place. We have developed room fragrances and candles for concept stores and brands, and we know how a scent behaves differently in a room than on skin.

We guide your cosmetic product from idea to finished formula: concept, active ingredients, texture and scent from a single source. We tune the scent to the formulation so that it fits the product and makes it unmistakable.

At fourteen I wanted to become a perfumer. Decades later I found the flacons and miniatures I collected back then in the attic.
Since 1995 I have worked internationally in the beauty and cosmetics industry, for many years as a hair and make-up artist. In New York I began experimenting with fragrance and my own colour cosmetics, because the industry’s ingredients and sustainability did not convince me.
Back in Germany I co-founded AER Scents (now RAER Scents) and composed its first two collections, using natural raw materials only. With Scentframe I bring this knowledge to brands. You can find my work as a hair and make-up artist at www.stefankehl.com.
